Successful Warriors All Have Battle Scars
It is estimated that at about 90% of those involved in internet marketing are not successful. Why is it that so many are people failing when countless ads promise riches in 30 days or less?
I believe that it is their psyche. Sooner or later after you start an online business you will realize that you better dig in for the long haul. It takes time to build a business or more importantly credibility, so forget about making it in a month’s time.
Remember that there are thousands of people doing the same thing as you and the best way to stand out is if you are creative and have unique ideas. Once you are a creator, this will set you apart from your competition. You write your own articles, ads, press releases and blog posts. Even if you use other people’s material you do so creatively.
Online marketing is a relatively new field and this causes many people to be excited and skeptical about it at the same time. This is one of the reasons countless sales pages have pictures of houses, cars and checks to try to persuade prospects that the success they preach about is possible. The problem is that it won’t come overnight.
In today’s “want it now” society, many are not prepared to commit the next two or three years of their lives to build a business, a business that can set them up with their own private retirement fund. Me, I would prefer to bear the pressure for that time just to know that my family is set for life.
If all you come into online marketing is dollar signs in your eyes, then reality will soon black and blue them. When the struggles inevitably come, that is the time you will know if you are made up of the stuff that business requires.
I believe it is simple. Those who are willing to experience famine if it comes are those who greatly appreciate the feast. And when they begin to harvest the returns from their hard work, they never want the feast to end.
They will find ways to diverse their crops while putting some of it away for a rainy day. If this relates to you, then you know what it takes to avoid being a failure.
So are you prepared to lick your wounds and move on?
