Website Pictures Can Mean More Than A Thousand Words
Website pictures can help attract the attention or visitors. They can improve sales. The right pictures can leave a lasting impression on perspective clients.
Remember the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”? Well the same is true for your website. Images, graphics and other types of media can help attract the attention of your customers and motivate them to read the web content you have provided.
Putting pictures on your website can and does make a difference. For instance it can boost:
* Sales
* Visual appeal
* Professionalism
If you would like to put pictures on your site, the following are three methods which you can use to generate pictures:
1. Take your own photos – A digital camera can produce crisp and clear images. If you have a product you are selling, make sure you take photos from every angle so that the visitor can see as much of the product as they can.
2. Pictures from the web – if you are taking free images from the internet, you will want to look for stock photography. Just keep in mind that not all internet photos are free, some are copyrighted. You also shouldn’t forget that if you are using free photos from the web, it is highly likely that so are other people. Thus, if you want originality, take your own photos and publish them on the web.
3. Graphic designer – A graphic designer can create web graphics to make you a logo, business cards, etc. Just remember that graphic designers, while worth the money, charge a high fee.
Additional tips:
* All of the website pictures you use should be produced in high quality. You don’t want to post a fuzzy or miniature photo. Show as much detail as you can.
* Convert the pictures of the products you are selling to thumbnails. This will allow the visitor to view a larger image if they wish by clicking on the picture. Thumbnails are smaller and will cut down on the time it takes for your page to load.
* Include detailed text for every photo sample you provide. The best information to provide is the answers to all of the questions you think your target market would want to know.
* Make sure your site is easy to navigate, so prospective customers can easily access the pages or photos they want to see.
Be sure to use website pictures to improve the look of your site, and to provide visitors with the hype they need to buy your product.
